Licensed Professional Counselor
After a 28 year career as a mid-level manager for a Fortune 50 corporation, Kathy embarked on her long-time dream of a second career as a therapist. She chose this field after witnessing people, through skillful and compassionate therapy, learning and growing in ways that helped them reach their goals and improve their lives. Kathy applies her life skills and experience in working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families to assist them through issues involving depression, anxiety, relationship conflict, and grief.
She sees her role as assisting clients in making changes needed to accomplish their desired goals and she offers resources to support clients in making desired changes. She has worked in community health, outpatient, partial hospitalization, EAP and private practice settings. Using a strengths-based approach drawing from Narrative, Cognitive Behavioral and Solution Focused therapies, Kathy believes collaboration and creating a safe place for exploration and growth are the foundation of effective therapy. Her greatest joy is helping clients improve their lives.
