Has the idea of leaving your corporate job to pursue entrepreneurship been rolling around in the back of your head for a while? If your answer is YES, then you’re not alone. According to a survey conducted by FreshBooks in 2017, the number of Americans who plan to work for themselves will rise to 42 million by the year 2020. The number one reason people cited for making this move is a desire to have control over their careers.

The allure of being your own boss may capture your imagination, but the large number of businesses that close each year should also leave you with a clue that entrepreneurship is harder than it looks. Before you take the leap to leave your steady paycheck, it’s important to understand the practical and emotional aspects of entrepreneurship.

In this week’s’ podcast episode, I had the opportunity to speak with a business coach and serial entrepreneur Sarah Zink. Sarah shared her personal experiences with entrepreneurship and outlined the things you need to think about before making the leap.
