My educational journey began at the University of Texas Pan-American in Edinburg, Texas, where I earned my undergraduate degree. From there, I immersed myself in the field of mental health counseling, pursuing my Master’s Degree at Capella University. Outside of my professional endeavors, I find joy in rescuing animals and cherishing moments with my supportive husband and family. Hello, My name is Courtney Garcia. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a Master of Science in Business degree, and I am currently working on my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree. I have continuing education training in child trauma, Traumatic Brain Injury, Combat care of military and families, LGBTQI+, Justice Advocacy, hoarding disorder, and psychological first aid. Having been raised and born in El Paso, Texas, and calling San Antonio home since 2012.

Allison uses person-centered therapy and narrative therapy in her counseling sessions As a counselor Allison strives to work in tandem with the client and to meet them where they are in this journey of life. To get them to where they want to be or to overcome the roadblocks that trouble them or simply be there as a soundboard. Allison does this in a safe and welcoming environment that can implement tools and coping strategies to assist with any issues that are present or arise as she believes the client knows themselves best and she in turn can learn who they are.
