The thing that hurts most about being in a toxic relationship is realizing that you’ve been fooled. Most toxic relationships don’t start that way. They begin just like any other relationship but slowly turn into your worst nightmare. Your partner may begin to subtly blame you for things beyond your control or pick at your faults. This may slowly evolve into full-blown verbal or physical abuse. One particular tricky method that is used to gain power and manipulate situations is Gaslighting.

Gaslighting is a form of psychological manipulation in which a person sows seeds of doubt in a targeted individual, making them question their memory, perception, or judgment, often evoking in them cognitive dissonance and other changes such as low self-esteem.

In this episode of the podcast, I will help you get a better understanding of Gaslighting, and you will leave empowered to reclaim your self-esteem and sanity.
