What do you do for self- care? Do you get an occasional massage or maybe a mani-pedi? Well, if you are like most Americans, self-care is a term you’ve heard thrown around a lot, but you probably do not have a regular self-care routine. We are all so busy running around taking care of everyone else that we forget to put ourselves on the list.

Although self-care sounds simple, studies show the lack of self-care is correlated with burnout. Some of the symptoms associated with burnout include; exhaustion, lack of energy, constant fatigue, sleep issues, reduced performance, and inability to make decisions. Taking the signs of burnout into consideration makes it evident that practicing self-care is essential.

On today show Aaron Ballesteros Licensed Professional Counselor-Intern (supervised by Kirleen Neely) joins me to discuss practical tools and strategies you can use to improve your self-care routine. You will leave the show inspired to show up for yourself in new and better ways.
